As parents of young children ourselves, we have experienced the pressure to deliver increasingly spectacular birthday parties. In today’s world, time and money can be short but we did not want to pay for expensive entertainers or for outside organisations to run our parties for us. The thought of organising our own party was daunting, so we looked around for help in running a party ourselves. What we found was that although plenty of people could supply us with themed products to use, there was no help in planning the games and activities.
We were lucky to have the time, experience and inclination to sit down and plan parties for ourselves. The parties we have held for our children have been enormous fun and very successful. In an increasingly complex and sophisticated world, it is amazing how much the children still enjoy old fashioned party games, especially if they have a modern theme that they can relate to.
